Eligibility Criteria:

Intermediate Trained Teacher (Class 1 to Class 5)

For the appointment of Intermediate Trained Assistant Professor in Primary School Classes 1 to 5, candidates who have passed +2 or Higher Secondary or its equivalent examination from a recognized institution and trained from a recognized institution and fulfill the following conditions:-

• Passed +2 with minimum 50% marks or Senior Secondary or its equivalent and 2 year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name given) OR
• Senior Secondary or its equivalent with at least 45% marks and two years Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known) obtained from the session 2007-2009 in accordance with the National Council for Teacher Education (Recognition, Norms and Procedure) Regulations, 2002. Or
• +2 pass or Senior Secondary or its equivalent with minimum 50% marks and 4 year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) OR
• Passed +2 with minimum 50% marks or Senior Secondary or its equivalent and 2 year Diploma in Education (Special Education) or Graduation and 2 year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known) OR
• In the Teacher Eligibility Test conducted for classes 1 to 5, the above mentioned educational qualification ie “Graduation (or its equivalent) with minimum 50% marks and one year B. Ed. / Two Year B.Sc. Ed. / B.Ed. (Special Education)” will be allowed to appear in the examination with the condition that after appointment, it will be mandatory to pass a six-month bridge (setu) course within a maximum of two years, at his own expense, from a teaching training institute recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education. Otherwise, their candidature will not be considered and will be cancelled. And
• Passed in the Teacher Eligibility Test (JET) conducted for classes 1 to 5 by the Government of Jharkhand under the guidelines laid down by the National Council for Teacher Education.

Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) (Class 6 to Class 8)

Upper Primary (Classes 6 to 8) for the appointment of Graduate Trained Assistant Professors who have passed +2 or higher secondary or its equivalent examination from a recognized institution and graduate or its equivalent examination and trained from a recognized institution and fulfill the following conditions:-

• Graduation or its equivalent in the subject for which application is being made and two years Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known) OR
• Graduation in the applied subject (or its equivalent) with minimum 50% marks and one year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.) OR Graduation in applied subject (or its equivalent) with minimum 45% marks and one year in Education (B.Ed.) according to the National Council for Teacher Education (Recognition, Norms and Procedure) Regulations 2002 issued from time to time in this regard, above training session dated 31.05.2 Joined till 009. Or
• Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with minimum 50% marks and 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.) OR
• Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with minimum 50% marks and 4-year B. A. / b. S. C.Ed. or B. A. Ed. / B.Sc.Ed. Or
• Graduation (or its equivalent) with minimum 50% marks and 2-year B. Ed. (Special Education) and
• Passed the Teacher Eligibility Test (JET) for classes 6 to 8 conducted by the Government of Jharkhand under the guidelines laid down by the National Council for Teacher Education.
